Megan MacArthur Certified Black Belt Instructor
Megan loves to move and loves to share the joy, the challenge, the healing and the curiosity about movement with others on their journey. Moving makes a change. Without change we grow stagnant, stuck. Movement of the body, mind emotions and spirit may be seen as a direct representation of our physical reality. What are we creating? Move with me, move your life change and be healed, live dance and share.
Megan began sharing The Nia Technique in 1994 with New York City where she co-founded Nia New York with Caroline Kohles. Her classes were held at Reebok/Sports Club NY, Crunch, Molly Fox Fitness, Equinox, Chelsea Piers and World Gym. Some presentations and conferences include The Fitness Factory and City of Hope. Megan has appeared on ABC's "Main Floor," "Fox on Health," "The Alive and Wellness Show with Carol Martin," and in Reebok's "Long and Lean" video as well as many other print and television appearances. Megan now resides in Hawaii where she leads classes and workshops, hosts trainings and travels to share Nia.

Julie Keller Certified Blue Belt Instructor
I was first introduced to Nia by Megan MacArthur Bonnici, who began Nia Hawaii in January 2003. After practicing Nia regularly for one year; I lost weight, gained muscle, and discovered self-worth. I realized that Nia was not only a highly effective fitness program, but also a lifestyle practice that had integrated into my daily life. Wanting to deepen my Nia practice, I hosted and attended a Nia White Belt Intensive Training here in Kamuela with Nia Co-Founder Carlos Rosas. The White Belt Training is a very educational experience; and for me, was also life-changing. My intension of taking the White Belt Training was for personal growth, but the experience inspired me to share the joy of this magical and healing work with others. I began teaching Nia five months after completing the training and have been teaching for nearly two years now. This work continues to support and inspire my every day life, and I have now completed the Nia Blue Belt Training Level.

Rebecca Lux Parks Certified White Belt Instructor
I Love to dance (and make art, and cook, and...)! As a young kid I would sneak out of bed in my pj's to dance with guests at my parent's pizza parties. I took alot of dance classes at college and beyond, studying Modern, ballet, Jazz, Hula, African and Choreography. It always seemed to be about trying to look and move exactly like the teacher. One of the things I like about Nia is how it welcomes my own dance and my own body's way within its structure.Through my Rolfing Movement and Structural Integration training, I began to "unlearn" patterns I had taken on in my body. As I recognized and started to release those layers, I discovered more comfort, ease and fullness in being who I am. Exploring movement and dance became even more fun and deeply felt. I like Nia because I can bring all that I have learned to the work and play with it. I like teaching Nia for the way it challenges my multitasking skills: relating to music, choreography, guiding others, and staying tuned to myself at the same time. I get to have fun, push my edges and offer that to others as well. Yahoo!!
